When you goals are only in your head,
they are largely
fantasies. When you write them
down, along with specific
action plans, they become real. Major goals must have
action steps to become real. For action steps to be
effective they must have a time
commitment. The smaller the
action steps for each goal, the shorter the time
deadline, the better you are.
Initially, make a rough draft for each
of your goals in your master
plan. Revise it until it is fairly well honed. Then type it up neatly
and concisely into a positively stated affirmative goals statement.
Arrange your individual goals into their order of relative
importance to you. Use a three ring binder to build your
confidential personal success notebook of goals. With this

revise them, rearrange them, and review them regularly.

with your life. Make a contract with yourself in terms of written

long term goals; tangible and intangible goals, ethical qualities
and character goals, personalitytraits like friendliness and
openness; physical, spiritual and emotional goals, all with
target deadlines where appropriate. You must be as detailed
and specific as possible. It may take a week or two to write
out your goals exactly as you wantthem. You are likely
to revise them regularly to reflect partial achievement,
new thinking, changing priorities, or new values.
